Classic sockITz USB power points - Can I charge my Ipad or other tablet device?
Can I charge my Ipad or other tablet device?
Of course. The sockITz new updated classic range is a 17.5 watt charger. The largest OEM wall charger is the latest iPad charger at 12 watts. Whilst we are sharing the 17.5 watts between the ports its more than enough to charge two devices at the same time.

The classic sockitz is designed to fit in most wall brackets and are a snug fit due to the components required for the USB charger module. The back of the unit extends into the wall 24mm and requires a cut out hole of more than 74mmx51mm

In most cases sockITz usb powerpoints are a direct replacement for a regular double powerpoint. Whilst the rear of the sockITz is larger in order to house the electronics it still will fit in 95% of brackets on the market and in your house already.
There is some older imperial based brackets that are about 1mm too small and we can confirm the Deta brand C-Clip plaster clip bracket still is a good replacement. This is available at Bunnings.
If your bracket is nailed to the stud you can push it back and put in a regular c-clip or alternatively you can file 1mm off original imperial bracket.

You can program your smart sockITz to activate certain functions and features of your phone for example, imagine getting home from work waving your phone over the smart sockITz in the kitchen which automatically sets your phone to silent or diverts all calls to message bank, or when you head off to bed, wave your phone over the sockITz next to your bed and your phone automatically adjusts screen brightness to lowest setting, sets your alarm for the morning and switches to silent.
You can control almost any feature or setting on your phone including starting apps.
Doing the above is very simple and there is a multitude of Apps available on the Google Play store. Click here to download now. We recommend the NFC Task Launcher for android devices as its easy to use and program tags.

The terminals are clearly marked on the back of the socket however they can be obscured by the terminal screws if you remove them before looking for markings.
